Franciso Goya fue un artisto romantico y un pintor para la realeza de Espana. This painting is a representation of Goya's views on the criminally insane. While he was painting during this era of his career, he began to have a mental breakdown himself. His paintings unveiled his own state of mind, not just his opinions.
Goya was a wonderful artist. I studied him in survey of art history and brought much of his environment out in so much detail.
